Exit Slip 

When talking about indigenize our teaching in classroom, I think today’s class is a best example of taking theory into action.  I, as a Chinese immigrant, came to Canada with zero knowledge of Indigenous culture and background, has learned so much of another ethnic which has been existed in our planet for 35,000 years.  Isn’t that the power of education?  

I recognize that the long historical wrong doings to Indigenous people in Canada has detrimental effects, but I am grateful to see that open discussions and remediation are taking place in our society, either from social or political aspects.  I see hope from actions of Canadian citizens and that is all about living in a democratic society.
