Exit Slip 2
Upon reflecting on Jo Boaler's presentation, I find our traditional way of delivering mathematics to the students is almost detrimental in a sense that the children's critical thinking skills are limited. The data from the presentation suggests that positive and active learning produces much better results comparing to passive learning style. From that video clip, the students who are in multi-dimensional class are more engaged in solving mathematical problems than students in traditional one-dimensional class. In our group discussion, my classmates and I believed that multi-dimensional learning is an ideal but challenging teaching pedagogy for us to adapt. We were all agreed that we have to be constant learners during our whole career as teachers, and be ready to adapt anything that is new to us.

Thanks Ivy! I'm sure this will be an ongoing topic of discussion in our course.
